Although the 1.1-liter Sascha ADS-R was based partly on the prototype for a production car, but it is a thoroughbred racing model, with the Ferdinad Porsche set new standards. Compared to other small racing engines of the early 1920s, the ADS-R with a larger bore and shorter stroke represents an advanced concept. Among the 1.1-liter racing cars, the Salmson from France amounted to 62.2 x 90 mm and Newton-Ceirano to 60.4 x 95.7 mm. The cylinder bore of the ADS-R was 68 mm even larger than the leading 1.5 -liter racers of its time. Talbot, Fiat and Mercedes had all 65 mm.
